General Rules & Regulations
All competition participants MUST register to attend the workshop.
Additional competition and convention forms may be downloaded here.
All PowerHouse Dance participants must sign a waiver form.
All participants will receive wrist bands, which must be worn at all times.
NO VIDEO TAPING OR FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY! Note taking is permitted.
Out of consideration for the dancers and instructors, activity and noise level must be kept to a minimum.
Please have respect for others at all times. Failure to do so will result in immediate disqualification of your studio.
To prevent injuries, all dance bags and personal property must be kept against the wall, free and clear of the dance space.
Cell phones and pagers are to be turned off or on silent mode at all times.
Crying babies should be tended to outside the theatre/ballrooms.
Smoking, food, alcohol and foul language are prohibited anywhere in the vicinity of the events.
All entry forms are to be signed by studio directors to signify that rules and regulations are understood and will be adhered to.
Refunds will NOT be issued for any reason (unless entire event cancelled i.e. weather).
Competition Rules & Regulations
An additional fee of $20 per competition number will be charged for late registrations.
Competition entries will be accepted on competition day(s) only if competition schedule permits.
One entry form per competition entry. Additional forms may be downloaded here.
After three calls, a competition entry will be marked absent and the entry will be disqualified.
Competitors must be at competition venue one hour prior to their scheduled performance time.
Where available dressing rooms will be assigned. If space does not permit the dressing rooms are for the use of all competitors.
No music to be played backstage or in the dressing room.
No coaching of competitors is permitted during the performance.
Once a competition number has begun, no one can enter or exit ballrooms.
Flash photography is only permitted during the awards ceremony.
All participants, including observers, are expected to use professional etiquette in competition venue and classrooms, and conduct themselves accordingly.
Teachers and professionals must compete in own category.

Any dancer participating in a PowerHouse Dance Productions Inc. event takes certain incumbent risks. These include but are not limited to sprains, pulled muscles, and broken bones. Participation in this event indicates the acceptance of these risks by attendees and their parents or guardians.
PowerHouse Dance Productions Inc. assumes no responsibility for personal injury or property loss at these events. Choreographers, teachers, and students automatically grant permission to PowerHouse Dance Productions Inc. to use their photos and video for publicity purposes in print ads, brochures, and the like.
